Shadow Puppetz provides workshops, intensives, and sessions that focus on building skills, fostering creativity, and strengthening connections within the funk dance community. Our programs are designed to meet dancers at every level, offering accessible opportunities to learn and grow their creative practice.
SUNDAY FUNKDAY
Sunday Funkday is a weekly, free program created to give dancers a consistent, inclusive space to train, learn, and connect. Sunday Funkday is offered free of charge to keep training accessible for our community. Each week is made possible by our Sunday Funkday Circle, supporters who give monthly or annually to keep these sessions free and available to everyone.
INTENSIVES
Our intensives offer dancers the chance to dive deeper into various funk styles. These programs are designed for those looking to challenge themselves and accelerate their learning through rigorous and collaborative training.
We charge a fee to participate in these programs. We may waive or offer reduced fees on a limited basis for dancers with financial barriers who have demonstrated serious dedication to learning.

Throughout the year, we invite guest instructors from around the world to teach specialized workshops on various topics. These workshops provide a rare opportunity for our community to learn from renowned global artists.
We’ve been fortunate to host guests from across North America and beyond, including the Bay Area, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Montreal, Stockholm, and Washington D.C.
